Mama, I've been where you are: feeling stressed out, overwhelmed, and about ready to pull your hair out because you're trying to do all the things and keep all the balls in the air. You're constantly trying to live up to these high expectations of being the "perfect" mother/partner/daughter/employee/insert role here.

It's exhausting, and you're tired and stressed out. You sometimes feel like you just need a break from it all -- or just some room to breathe at the very least. Look, I get it, because guess what? Even as the Calm Coach, I still have those moments, too. But, I've found a fantastic tool that helps me centered and grounded and live from a space of peace: yoga!

Why Yoga?

Admittedly, I started my yoga practice in order to "snap back" after having my daughter, Nailah. However, after practicing a few weeks, I noticed the huge difference it made in terns of my mental and emotional state. I'd dealt with post partum depression (although I wasn't aware at the time), and I often felt stressed, overwhelmed and frustrated trying to do it all.

By becoming consistent with my practice, I:

  • Felt more harmonized and balanced.
  • Became more grounded and centered.
  • Started worrying less.
  • Learned how to live in the present moment.
  • Began loving myself in all ways.
  • Felt inner peace more often.
  • Started living from a space of peace (as opposed to chaos and overwhelm).

And having your own practice can do the same for you!
