Do your kids love ice cream, adventure, and imagination? This is the book for them.

Sam has found the plans to repair the old mill on his grandparents' farm! Best of all, the old mill was used to make ice cream! If he follows the plans, teams up with his little brother James, and works hard, they just might be able to rebuild; or will they become tangled in a web of old broken parts, dirt, and messy ingredients? There is only one way to find out, join Sam and James as they gather tools and components, and get to work, hoping to enjoy some fresh ice cream by the end of the day!

As a young child, Ashley vividly remembers exploring and playing inside his grandparents' old unused barn. These memories, combined with his fascination with the many abandoned grist mills in his hometown, set this story's setting. Like adding ingredients for ice cream, Ashley then took his experience working in a local ice cream shop, mixed it with his childhood memories, and incorporated phrases and character traits from his two boys to develop the story.
