Webinar | Community-based Conservation

How can working with and empowering local communities support long-term conservation? What makes community-based conservation successful?

After emerging in the 1980s, community-based conservation has become a widely accepted tool for achieving conservation and socioeconomic benefits. In this free webinar from Conservation Careers, we'll explore why local and Indigenous communities matter in wildlife conservation, and how we can work together to achieve greater impact.

Our guest will be Tom Graham, Co-Founder of MAD Travel, Author of “The Genius of the Poor” and TEDx Speaker. After working in journalism and business, Tom eventually found his passion in helping local Filipino communities flourish through promoting authentic travel experiences.

With travel currently severely limited, MAD Travel has transformed into an online education platform. With 10+ years of teaching experience, Tom loves to inspire and mentor young people to discover their own purposeful careers.
