A special workshop on the principles of Social Marketing will be delivered by guest speaker Mr Leonidas Skerletopoulos on 23rd of November 2018, at "Lucian Blaga" University of Sibiu, Romania.
Thw Workshop was designed in the framework of Social Growth for Trafficking and Immigration project (SOG-TIM), a programme which is targeted to professionals from both the non profit and for profit sectors who are running a live project addressing the pressing issues of refugee, immigration and human trafficking crisis ( http://ngo.socialgrowthhub.com/)
AIM of the Workshop
This course aims to give those attending, a grounding in key Social Marketing concepts and how they can be applied by Social Enterprises in the design, delivery and evaluation of programmes intended to influence the behaviour of target groups.
OBJECTIVES
Those attending the course will:
- Understand the key concepts that underpin Social Marketing theory and practice.
- Be able to identify good practice in Social Marketing.
- Understand how behavioural sciences, management and marketing theory can be applied to select implement effective social programmes.
- Understand and be able to give examples about how Social Marketing can help improve the impact of Social Mission in Social Enterprises.
Leonidas is a Certified Social Marketer by the University of Brighton. Through his work helps business connect with their clients and social businesses design interventions for social change based on insight driven approaches.
Leonidas serves as the National Representative of the European Social Marketing Association (ESMA) for Greece, and has been actively involved with the startup, business and social business ecosystems as Marketing and Communications consultant at Chamber of Evros. He is the founder of the Mindspark Initiative, Co-founder of The Nest Hellenic Centre for Socent, special advisor at Society of Social Psychiatry and Mental Health, and participated as a production associate at the Social Growth TV Show (ΕΡΤ), the first TV show in Greece regarding impact entrepreneurship.
