Quaggas News

Dear Quaggas Members,

The days are getting warmer and summer activities kicked off with a wonderful event - the Inaugural Quaggas Fitness Festival. With 70 entries on the Saturday for the swimming event and 50 entries on the Sunday for the triathlon the weekend was a huge success. We wish to thank the organizers, our own Britt Hyland (K8 Coaching), Kelly Kaye, the team from Dragonfly Tri, Bennie Stemmet from Cilmor Wine Farms and Jimmy Kotze for their support with building the new mountain bike trail. We trust this will be an event not to be missed in the future!

The clubhouse bar reopened and proved to be very popular! Cherie has settled in quickly with campers and members having a great time at the well stocked bar. Please note that own alcohol and beverages are not allowed to be brought into the licensed premises. The bar needs the support of everyone to make it viable and sustainable. The Club applied to extend the liquor license onto the grass area outside the clubhouse and we hope to have this approved before the summer holidays.

Kind Regards

Tobie
