Welcome to The Loving Energy Newsletter Dragon Issue #2!

If you had subscribed to this Newsletter since the beginning, you might remember that in Rabbit Issue #2 last year, I wrote that the clear issue then was that I didn’t have a rabbit. But I have Deka, a dog! And now, well, a clear issue here is that I do not have a dragon, at least not one that I could photograph. But, I have Daktari, a cat!

The Spirits have something else in mind though. When I asked what this issue is about, they said, ‘Rat’. Hm… I’m glad for the issue of not having a rat to photograph!

Many things about Rat came to mind – most of them about hiding, being sneaky to make ends meet and being insignificant. Except for its triumph of winning the Glorious Chinese Zodiac Race!

Long long time ago, in a time that never existed since this is a mythical story, up above in the sky where there is no time, the Jade Emperor wanted to mess things up a little by creating a system to measure time. What better way to do it than to do so with animals! He announced that there would be a race amongst animals on his birthday, and the top 12 animals who complete the race will have the years named after them.

What great honour! All the animals were excited about having the years named after them and started to plan how to win the race. Amongst them were Rat and Cat, who were the best of friends. They were both so small and thought the only way they could make into the top 12 was to start the race early. They knew Ox always got up early and they asked to join it.

‘Sure! No problem! Be here before sun up and we will start when everyone is still in deep sleep.’ Ox enjoyed having company and he accepted with glee. 

The problem was that Cat liked to go out at night and sleep during the day. On the morning of the race, Cat was sound asleep. Rat tried to wake Cat up unsuccessfully. Ox looked at its watch and said, ‘We must depart now or you are on your own.’

Ox walked in leisurely pace but Rat had to run to catch up.

‘This is not going to work.’ Rat thought he must use his wit. ‘Hey, Ox, how about I sing for you to lighten up the race?’

‘Fantastic idea! Yes, please!’ Said the Ox.

Some moments passed, Ox asked, ‘I thought you were going to sing. Why don’t you?’

‘Oh! I have been singing. Couldn’t you hear it?’

Ox paused, turned around and realized that Rat was too far behind and too low on the ground. ‘I couldn’t hear you at all! You have to come closer!’

‘How about I sing next to your ears?’

‘Fantastic idea! Yes, please!’

Ox lowered itself to the ground while Rat climbed on to its head. Rat did some dynamic raps which made Ox galloped like Horse!

They had to cross a river towards the end of the race but no problem! Ox could swim too and he enjoyed it immensely from having its personal sound system. It was elated because it was about to come first in the race!

Wait! What was that?

Oh, Rat! It was Rat! Ox forgot the sound system was Rat singing to its ears! Just before Ox crossed the finishing line, Rat hopped in front and won the race!

Jade Emperor was impressed with Rat and name the first year of the Zodiac after it.

Rat couldn’t wait to get home to celebrate his success with Cat, its best friend. Unfortunately, Cat wasn’t one to celebrate its friend’s success. It was raging that Rat left it behind. Not only it didn’t want to be friends anymore, it vowed to catch all rats for as long as Rat remained number 1 on the Chinese Zodiac chart.

You may be wondering why Rat didn’t just hang out with other rats from the start and why big birds like eagles didn’t make the top 12 but a rooster did. And pig! There are many other loopholes in the story because the focus is not the story itself but the lesson. And the lesson from this part of the Chinese Zodiac story is that success requires both wit and diligence.

During the TDR – The Divine Reveal – A Quantum Health Process – training, I had a mysterious pain in the centre of my hips. I tried helping myself with a variety of techniques but nothing took the pain away. Luckily for me, I hadn’t learnt Quantum Pain Relief at the time or I would have missed out on what happened next.

We were learning about quantum and some of its properties at the TDR class. I didn’t fully understand what was taught but an idea came to my mind to play around with whatever I knew anyway to see what happens. Accessing the quantum field, which is sometimes referred to as the field of all possibilities, might help my body transform into a pain-free version.

I was lying on the sofa and Deka, my dog, was lying on the floor in deep sleep. What if I could get him to entrain me so that my body could be as relaxed as his? Quantum entrainment was one of the concepts that we learnt in class. I reasoned that the pain must be caused by a pinched nerve and if my physical body could relax completely, the pain should go away.

‘Deka, please entrain me so that my body is completely relaxed like yours.’ I asked inside my head.

I was so relaxed as my body sank further onto the sofa. After a while though, I thought this might not be enough to help me because I was only working on the physical level. I would probably have better result if I could incorporate the mental, emotional and spiritual levels. I didn’t think Deka could help me with those.

‘Jesus, please entrain me to the level where my lower back is completely well.’ I knew Jesus was always around. And he was.

‘Mother Mary, please come and entrain me too.’ I wanted to make sure I had both Yin and Yang covered.

Soon, I drifted off to somewhere that didn’t seem to be here nor there. I wasn’t asleep and I wasn’t totally awake either.

When I woke up, I felt like my body wanted to move. As I slowly moved up to a standing position, I saw, in my mind’s eye, my hip bone became plastic like and I felt the malleable nature of it. Soon as I saw and felt it, it opened up and became wider. This vision and sensation lasted for only one or two seconds. I was surprised and decided to sit down to process what just happened. My lower abdomen was grumbling like a washing machine. There was more space inside my hip bone now and whatever it contained were rearranging themselves.

Two things came to mind immediately: the first was a memory of Roos (Malka) Ahern, the founder of TDR, saying how TDR is about expansion and I didn’t know what she was on about; the second was how, years ago, I had wished my hips to be smaller. In Hong Kong, I was considered to be too tall and too big and what was said about my hips was particularly ugly. Eventually I had slimmed down and I thought it was down to doing more exercises. I didn’t know that my mind was so powerful that it actually willed my hip bone to narrow itself.

Finally, I understood what Roos meant about expansion, or, at least, the opposite of it. I worried so much about what people thought that I literally shrank myself!

Since then, I found out more about how I had been shrinking or hiding myself like a little rat from fear of how people saw me and terror that nobody would love me if I didn’t conform. It was a wonder how I managed to breathe when I put so much constraint around myself. Shrinking and hiding no more!

The Thought of the Moon Cycle is 煮豆燃萁 Cook Bean Burn Stalk.

One day when I was taking a walk to cool off a heated argument with PhotoMan, my husband, a dead cat on the side of the road caught my eyes. There are many stray cats in Greece and this is not an unusual sight but something about it looked different. It looked… menacing, with all its teeth showing as if it was about to kill someone.

It probably did just that – there was a dead rat next to the dead cat. I imagined this epic battle between the cat and the rat and then just as the cat was doing a victory lap with the captive in its mouth, a car struck them both.

Why would I fight with someone so dear to me just so that we could both have a miserable day? The Idiom 煮豆燃萁 Cook Bean Burn Stalk came to mind.

Long long time ago, an emperor was jealous of his younger brother’s talent as a poet. He felt threatened that a gifted mind such as his brother's might one day try to take over his empire. Rather than being a sitting duck, the emperor conjured up a plot to kill his brother.

‘My emperor brother, why have you summoned me?’ Asked the emperor’s younger brother.

‘I heard how gifted you are with poetry and thought we could play a game. You are going to walk 7 steps. By the end of these 7 steps, you will come up with a poem. If you fail, I will kill you.’

The emperor took out his sword and pointed it at his brother’s throat. The younger brother had no choice but to stumble back as the emperor advanced.

‘Now go! One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Ha!’

Dun dun duuun!!!

‘煮豆燃豆萁，豆在釜中泣。本是同根生，相煎何太急？Cook Bean Burn Bean Stalk, Bean In Pot Middle Weep. Origin Is Same Root Born. Together Fry Why Too Rush?’

In those times, the bean stalk was dried and then used as a fuel for fire. During cooking, beans release moisture. Bear in mind that the Chinese language doesn’t have plural form, the poem says while the bean is being cooked in the pot by the bean stalk, it weeps. The bean and the bean stalk were born from the same root. Why do they destroy each other in such a rush?

Upon hearing this poem, the emperor was touched and sent his brother home.

The idiom煮豆燃萁 Cook Bean Burn Stalk is a condensed version of this poem that describes brothers destroying one another. It is also used for people who are close like friends and couples. The idiom prompts us to reconsider our position.

During this moon cycle, observe if you 煮豆燃萁 Cook Bean Burn Stalk. If yes, maybe it’s time to reconsider your position.

When I first started experimenting with Land and Property Healing, I was invited to a psychotherapist’s home because she met PhotoMan at a party, said she could feel my aura around him, and thought it would be a good idea for us to meet. It didn’t seem like a good idea to me but I was curious.

Her house was in a beautiful area next to the wilderness. When I was so lost and found myself on the wilderness side, I went to a stopped car at the traffic light to ask for directions. The driver told me to get in the car quickly because she lived on that same street. She asked me which house number. I told her. She glanced at me funny. Said they were neighbours and asked if we knew each other long.

‘No, I don’t know her. She’s the psychotherapist, right?’

‘Er…. Yes… that’s right…’ She glanced at me even funnier than before, looking nervous.

I didn’t know I looked like a psycho killer when I was lost.

The visit to the psychotherapist turned out to be fruitful. She was vastly knowledgeable in her field as well as a variety of metaphysical subjects. When she found out that I was having issues with boundaries and was losing my own chi during Sekhem healing practice sessions, she supplied me with a lot of helpful information.

She had two cats and a dog. Back then, animals, even fluffy ones like pet cats and dogs, were unfamiliar to me so I didn’t attempt to pet them or get close to them. However, one of the cats came and stared at me as if he wanted my attention.

My host continued to speak while giving the cat a few pets absently. I continued to look at my host to be polite but I knew the cat was still staring at me, trying to get my attention. When I finally turned to him, his pupils widened and narrowed as if he was blinking me a secret signal.

‘Your human is talking. Can I talk to you later?’ I asked him inside my head.

The cat left abruptly. I guessed either that meant ‘yes’ or he was bored from staring at me.

My host helped me so much by giving me so much helpful information that I wanted to do something for her in return. She mentioned that she had trouble selling her house and I offered to do a land and property healing for her. She accepted.

The encounter with her cat came to mind as I sat down to work on her property. I had no idea how to communicate with a cat. Let’s see…

‘Hey. Do you want to tell me what you want now?’ I imagined myself talking to the cat who responded immediately. I didn’t know it was that simple.

‘We are working on the house but the dog gets in the way. We don’t want to fly but if we must, we require extra attention both before and after the flight.’

Oh! I heard of cats having magical power but I didn’t know they can be house healers too!

I related the message to the host who replied that she was having the dog temporarily to help out her son who was on vacation. Since the dog and the cats didn’t seem to get along, she blocked off an area for the dog. She said she would find a way to let the cats do their work.

Much later, I heard that she relocated to another country and instead of flying the cats with her, she hired someone to drive the cats. At the time, I thought how incredible that she would do that for her cats. Now that I have both Deka and Daktari in our pack, I know I would totally do the same for them.

This moon cycle’s You Are Amazing Affirmation is I love being me.

During a BQH – Beyond Quantum Healing – Let’s Chat! Session, my client told me she had a habit of hiding her light. During this part of our conversation, the image of the sun was persistently hovering in front of my mind’s eye.

I told my client of my vision. I invited her to do a visualization exercise and I invite you to do the same when you have a moment to relax with yourself.

Let's begin by taking a few slow deep breaths to relax down. Then, imagine yourself looking at the sun. Observe how it is always being itself, shinning brightly. See how by being itself, it radiates light in every direction, lighting up everything.

You can also shine like the sun. Or glow. Different kind of light because we are all different, but you can also shine and glow, and radiate light in all direction. Allow yourself to shine. You do not need to try at all. It is natural because it’s what you are designed to be. If it helps, imagine yourself merging with the sun. It’s not going to hurt you because this is in your imagination. It will be soothing and delightful to experience merging with the sun. The sun reminds you how to glow and shine as you are. Feel how you are becoming brighter and brighter and with light radiating out in all direction from you, just like the sun.

Relax in your own light. This is your natural self. Just like the sun, you don’t ever need to change your light despite what people say or think. There are times when people complain that the weather is too hot. The sun doesn’t hide its light. There are times when people say it’s too cold. The sun also doesn’t try to shine brighter or go closer to people who are cold. It remains as it is, shinning brightly as it is designed to be.

Like the sun, you can also shine and glow just by being you. Whatever people say or think doesn’t affect you unless you allow it to. Even if people try to cover your light by their words, you can continue to be yourself, shinning brightly, enjoying your own light. Even on a cloudy day, the sun is still shinning.

It is the most wonderful feeling, to allow yourself to be yourself, to shine brightly and to bathe in your own light. Don’t you love being you? Relax in your own light for as long as you feel like. Remember, even as you open your eyes and be present in the physical world, your light remains. All you need to do is to allow yourself to be you.

During this moon cycle, say to yourself ‘I love being me’ daily and often and see how your world starts brighten up around you. I invite you to do this visualization exercise as often as you see the sun. When it’s a cloudy day, there’s even more reason to merge with the sun and shine together.
